DGS has compiled a list, by square and lot, of all properties either owned or controlled by the District government. Properties that show other-than-District ownership, such as the United States of America, the National Park Service, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority are usually governed by specific agreements giving the District various levels of jurisdiction over the property. Several properties could not be mapped at this time and further research is being done to develop a location and will be included in the next database update.
